The story (maybe apocryphal) is told of Picasso, classically trained artist, he was asked to paint a portrait of a lady. <\/i><\/div>\n
The agreement was that he would receive $10,000 (a lot of pesetas in those days).<\/i><\/div>\n
The lady sat down and, Picasso set to work.<\/i><\/div>\n
Half an hour later, his easel showed a masterpiece. <\/i><\/div>\n
The painting was an amazing likeness.<\/i><\/div>\n
The lady however, balked and wondered why she should pay so much for only half-an-hour\u2019s work.<\/i><\/div>\n

Picasso countered that the lady was paying for his lifetime of experience.<\/i><\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n

When a designer works on your logo, it\u2019s the brand, it\u2019s the concept, it\u2019s the thought that comes behind it.<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

A designer probably sketches something on paper, brainstorms, asks you questions\u2026 what is the feeling\u2026.<\/div>\n
That designer probably checks out which font\/typeface to use, so it\u2019s legible, maybe tweaks the type so it fits\u2026 adds imagery or something that reflects what you\u2019re doing.<\/div>\n
Makes it readable, easy on your eye, so it can be viewed on a billboard or on a business card.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
They probably research colours, see how it will work, take CocaCola for example, if you saw the ink on a can – or on a billboard side-by-side, they\u2019d look different\u2026 but in their context, it looks the same.<\/div>\n
The designer takes this into<\/u> account.<\/div>\n
